Lyons Middle Senior High School to Host Fine Arts Festival and Auditorium Dedication
Lyons Middle Senior High School will host a Fine Arts Festival /and/ auditorium dedication on Wednesday, May 1, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. This special evening will feature the artistic and musical talents of students while honoring the late LaVern Johnson, frequently referred to as the matriarch of Lyons and known for her significant contributions to the school and community.
The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the unveiling of the new signage outside in front of the auditorium, followed by photos of LaVern’s family. At 4:45 p.m., guests will transition inside the auditorium for the formal dedication ceremony. Dr. Don Haddad, Superintendent of St. Vrain Valley Schools, along with members of the Board of Education, will deliver speeches to honor Johnson and her legacy.
From 5:15 to 7:00 p.m., attendees will enjoy performances by the Lyons Middle Senior High bands and choirs. Student artwork will also be on display in the auditorium lobby throughout the evening. As part of the festivities, food trucks will be onsite, offering a variety of food and beverage options for purchase.
