While the auditorium was used for school concerts in December, the official grand opening was in March 2022. Campaign to save Lyons Middle/High School.
In 1948 a wave came across the US to close ALL SMALL TOWN high schools and consolidate. This is the story of how Lyons citizens fought for decades to save their High School… and not have their children bussed to Longmont.
Also, the history of the school property and Lyons Valley Park that used to be farm land owned by LaVern Johnson’s family.
Lyons elementary — middle — and high school teams all scored big in the VEX Robotics Competition.

The Lyons’ Boys Basketball teams have completed their regular season competition. The Varsity finished 9-3 in league and 12-8 overall. The Junior Varsity had a winning season.
Lyons has a 4-game winning-streak heading into district playoffs this weekend. Senior Night had a packed gym with students, parents, cheerleaders and band. Highlight was a 3-point shot from beyond the arc.
Middle/High school teens went to Regional tournament, and two made it to State tournament, and won medals.

The Varsity record is 7-5 overall and an impressive 5-1 in league. ==The Junior Varsity team has won most of their games and have a talented group of young men. ==The C team is gaining valuable experience and improving with every game. ==The Varsity team is coming off a 5-game win streak.
