Annual Halloween event for residents of Lyons=== The town has long called the Halloween “event”: Spooktacular –its a blend of spooky and spectacular! Because it’s both
==The Spooktacular will have the games and fun for families and kids of all ages beginning at 4 p.m. till 5:30 p.m. at the Elementary School on Sat. Oct 29.
==The Parade is at 6 p.m. with line up at 5:45 p.m. at the elementary school, off of Fourth Street and High Street. Adults and kids are invited to dress up and join the parade (adults — with or without kids)
==The kids’ trick or treat down Main Street (businesses) starts afterwards, approximately 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
UPDATE on SPOOKTACULAR 10/3/22: (1) Gateway Realty Group will be holding our second annual pumpkin decorating event on the 28th from 3-5 pm (2) The Lyons Garden Club is bringing back the chili cook off. We’ll be at Mainstage Brewing (on Main Street) this year, enter your best chili to win fab prizes, 3 categories of chili, red, green and vegetarian. Chili available to eat beginning at 4:30, before, during, and after the parade, until we run out. Details at Lyons Garden Club page; or see separate listing in this calendar just for the chili cook off with lots of details provided by the Club.
