Originally built in 1881 as the town’s schoolhouse, the historic sandstone building now preserves the history of Lyons. Open to the public, the museum seeks to preserve the rich history of Lyons through its exhibits and research opportunities.
The museum now operates in the summer months, providing locals and tourists alike a look into the rich history of Lyons, Colorado. Inside you will find three gallery rooms as well as a research library, gift shop, and used book store. A staff member is always on hand to answer any questions you may have or to provide you with further information on any exhibits or research topics.

GIFT SHOP with knick knacks, china, souvenirs, dolls, jewelry, Avon collectibles, plates, and more.
Free entrance, but donations are welcome!
LAST DAY OPEN in 2022 is Sunday October 2nd (Sunday, opens 12:30pm).
