Missed the artisan market? second chance at the Holiday bazaar (photos)
Another blue sky, sunny 90 degree day in Colorado! Perfect for the Town of Lyons’ annual Artisan Market, September 2024. Approximately 50 vendors, from all over Colorado, set up tents along the path that runs through Bohn Park, and along the St. Vrain River. Babies! and Dogs! welcome!
The nonprofit Lyons Community Foundation sold root beer floats, and barbecue dinner plates, and the Lyons Redstone Museum sold history books.
Below is a sample of the high quality, and unique merchandise that was for sale. I talked with most of them, and the majority said that they would be back in town for the Town of Lyons Holiday Artisan Market, (formerly Christmas Bazaar) December 7 and 8. These are all hand-made items, and therefore, unique and holding a touch of love from the artist to bring back to your home, or give as memorable gifts. Mark your calendar now!
An example of what to look forward to at the Holiday Bazaar, the wood works shop Nunzees, Longmont, has homey signs that say “Colorado”… great for gifts. I bought a package of five flat wooden Christmas tree ornaments, which contained a tiny painting kit, for only $10. It will make for great gifts in December — a lifetime connection with my friends, hand painted by me! I will add that I could SMELL the freshly cut and oiled crafts as I walked down the path. She assured me that her husband had been working on new items right up until the last week.
