LIGHTS OUT LYONS
Join us as we celebrate the 4th Annual Lights Out Lyons, a community gathering to encourage residents and businesses to go low lights or no lights on Saturday, August 24th. The evening starts at the Lyons Regional Library at 5:30p.m. with a Mini Planetarium experience brought to us by the Fiske Planetarium. Then head over to Bohn Park at 7:30 to Explore Bohn Park in the Dark. Residents are encouraged to bring telescopes to Bohn Park, take a walking tour to discover the starry night, or join the fun and look through other telescopes brought by local star and planet and dark sky enthusiasts.
On Friday August 30th, we will adventure to Hall Ranch to once again explore the night sky. We will escape the town lights and enjoy views of stars, galaxies and clusters with the help of a telescope. Meet us there at 7:30p.m. RSVP here.
