My garden is my most beautiful masterpiece.

It’s almost time for the Fourth Annual Mountain Blooms Garden Tour, presented by the Lyons Garden Club. This year’s tour features eight gardens plus the Clarifier–a local treasure. The tour will take place rain or shine on Saturday, June 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Tour participants will enjoy gardens spread across Lyons-from Apple Valley Road to Lyons Valley Park. Among the garden delights, participants will see a garden that was destroyed during the 2013 flood and has been lovingly restored, a garden with sculptures planted alongside flowers and vegetables, two individual gardens planted alongside a community garden, a suburban garden artfully designed with vegetables in raised beds, fruit and native trees in a tranquil setting for relaxing and contemplation.
Additionally, this year’s tour includes a stop at the enchanting Clarifier, along the St. Vrain River, across from the Black Bear Hole. This Lyons treasure features astonishing mosaics that out-of-town visitors too often miss. Cathy Rivers, one of the founders and contributing mosaic artist, will be on hand to answer questions. Renee Haip will also be present to help locate and explain the 13 bird motifs hidden throughout the structure.
Tickets, maps and all details about the tour are available online at www.lyonsgardenclub.com. There is in-person registration on the day of the tour at the west end of Sandstone Park, Railroad and 4th Ave. There is no cost to attend although donations to the Lyons Garden Club are appreciated (suggested donation is $10).
