Feeling lucky? grab your green gear and run the Lucky Lyons Race
Ready to start your St. Patrick’s celebrations off with the wind at your back? Grab your luckiest green running gear and join us Saturday, March 9th on the beautiful paths of Lyons, Colorado! There will be 5K and 10K races for your whole clan to enjoy. Join us at the afterparty at Main Stage Brewing and bring your bib to claim a free pint.
The race begins and ends in Bohn Park. The park is located at 199 2nd Ave, Lyons. Start is 10a.m. and cut off time is 12 noon. You can pick up your packet on Friday, 5-7p.m. (location to be confirmed). Your race number and packet will also be available at the Start/Finish Line beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday morning. Packets will not be available after race start on Saturday.
Parking is available at the venue, inside of Bohn Park; currently $2/hour meter. There is also a large free lot across the street. Both parking lots are convenient for most participants.
The 5K course happens all within the Lyons Greater area. The run is on gravel paths, and part on dirt roads. Enjoy views of Picture Rock and the Ponds. The 10K course goes outside of Lyons, using gravel paths towards the open space trails. Once runners reach Picture Rock trailhead, the road becomes a picturesque paved rural road (racers going left on Old St. Vrain). Some of the routes will be on neighborhood roads. (See the web page for a map)
There are a couple of Aid Stations, easily reached. They will be stocked with drinks; as well as aspirin, etc. and with a nurse… for bumps, cuts, bruises, and/or blisters!
Pricing for kids 12 and under is $20, and for adults ranges from $40 (for early bird) to $50. See the web site for info on refunds and cancellations. Awards take place at the Start/Finish line at 11a.m. The After Party begins at 11a.m., with details to be confirmed.
