Come Write With Us at the Library, whole month of November
National Novel Writing Month, also known as NaNoWriMo, is a month-long program where writers of all kinds attempt to write 50,000 words in 30 days. For the month of November, serious novelists and aspiring writers alike put pen to paper and fingers to keys in pursuit of this goal. If you’ve always wanted to take a crack at writing a novel or penning your memoir, now is your chance.
To kick things off this month, Dr. Kayann Short is hosting a Writing in November workshop this Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the library. Join writers of all levels and genres from 9a.m.-noon to aid your in your writing endeavors.
Lyons Community Library will also be hosting write-ins all month long where we invite writers of all kinds to come together to take on the NaNoWriMo challenge. Coming together to write is a great way to stay motivated and inspired. Everyone from long-time participants to newbies are welcome. We will provide some warm drinks and light snacks to fuel you on your journey towards 50,000 words!
