PRIDE PLEDGE FUNDRAISER:
Still time to donate to the mid/sr high school fundraiser! only 2 WEEKS LEFT in the Lions Pride Pledge. (although parents, and the general public can donate year-round) == Principal Chris Frank said: “I’d also like to extend my sincere appreciation for your support in our inaugural Lyons Pride Pledge Fundraiser. We are well on our way to reaching our fundraising goals, thanks to the unwavering support of our dedicated Lyons parent community. We’re almost there, and we could use your help to finish the fundraiser strong.”!
Anyone can contribute to the Lyons Booster Club through a direct donation or by purchasing one of their “spirit packs”. The spirit packs contain different “logo” products, like stickers, decals, and flags. Contributions are tax deductible, and eligible for company matching. Their goal is to reach $15,000. They also have several businesses sponsors. So far the Juniors and 8th graders are at the top, and the middle school is at the bottom of funds brought in.
“Two big examples of how the money is spent is uniforms and field trips, but the list is extensive as if it helps the students and staff know than we want to support it financially if we can. This pledge drive is the first of our new fundraising efforts as Booster’s has stepped away from Bingo,” said Audra, president of the Booster Club.
Plus, don’t forget, the middle and high school grade level that earns the most will EACH enjoy an ice cream sundae party for the entire grade! CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPS
Congratulations to our top 20 finishers and All Conference award winners at the Mile High League Cross Country Championships. Sage Wynja placed 1st in the boys race and was named the Mile High League Runner of the Year. Lyons will host the 2A region 1 state qualifying meet on October 19th, Thursday. Great work Lions!
