LEAF purchases property at 2nd Avenue and Railroad

LEAF has purchased a property! It’s true, after a few hiccups along the way, LEAF is the proud owner of the property at 304 2nd Avenue in Lyons. Our new headquarters is the perfect place for LEAF’s teams to offer wrap-around human and mental/addiction health services, and we couldn’t be more excited.

It’s time to get busy and get our new headquarters outfitted for service. We would love to move in this year, but first we’ll have to equip the Pantry, create a place for Mental Wellness & Addiction Recovery, youth programming, and more. Of course, we look forward to building gardens and an outdoor community hang-out area, too. Our plans are both modest and mighty, and we need your financial support to make them a reality. We hope you’ll be part of this exciting project that is so vital to our community’s health and wellbeing.

Goals

We’ve already raised over one million dollars. The purchase of the property is complete. We’re calling on our community now to give generously and transform this property into Lyons’ own human services and behavioral health care hub.

Now that we have a home to call our own, it’s time to build out an accessible, reliable, and secure safety net for our community.
Let’s equip Lyons Community Food Pantry and open it up often.
Let’s build out offices for our Mental Wellness team, along with a classroom, meeting space… and even a place for a medical care provider to work.
Let’s dream up an outdoor gathering area and community gardens.
Let’s grow healthy community together.
