Sandstone Park Summer Music series 2023

Yes, it’s that time of year for fun in Sandstone Park in Lyons with some of the area’s favorite local bands. We will be presenting free music in the park on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 PM on the newly renovated Raul Vasquez stage.
Joe Kuckla and Irons in the Fire will start us off Wednesday June 21st with his brand of rocking’ Americana and country music. Catch Joe before he leaves town for a few months to ride the Colorado Trail on horseback.
June 28th will bring Meagan Burtt and Gingerbomb to our stage joined by red heads Taylor Sims and Megan Ellsworth, with Troy Robey and Neil Mitchell holding down the rhythm section. Great harmonies on originals and covers.
July 5th outstanding vocalist Jesse Garland will be joined by her husband Brian McRae on drums with Scott Coulter keys and Bradley Morris on bass from the Gasoline Lollipops. Jesse can sound smooth or rough but always exceptionally good.
KC Groves will be joined by the Solar Sisters consisting of Kyra Holt, Bevin Foley, Amy Sheer and Erin Youngblood for some great originals and bluegrass covers. These gals sing great harmonies and have lots of fun from stage.
July 19th will feature one of Denver finest blues vocalist and entertainers Erica Brown with Lionel Young blues band. Lionel is the only one ever to win the Memphis International blue contest both as a band and as a soloist in over 50 years.
The Fretliners one of the hottest progressive bluegrass and newgrass string bands will be joining us July 26th for some big time fun and music. Four guys joining from other bands putting together a refreshing blend of styles.
Wednesday, August 2nd will bring one of the most versatile and fantastic musicians around Charlie Rose and his Cactus Pals Eric Thorin, bass, Andy Reiner fiddle and Joy Adams cello. This is a band of extraordinary musicians not to miss.
Our old friends Bonnie & Taylor Sims will front their band and bring us that fire they have on August 9th, which we haven’t been able to hear in a while. It should be a great ending concert for another great summer in the park.
