Lyons Library Summer Reading program, including prizes

Summer Reading is Here!
Celebrate Lyons and a love of reading all summer long, with this year’s Summer Reading Program: All Together Now!
With programs and events for all ages as well as fun reading activities, the library aims to help children develop positive attitudes about books and reading, and to enable them to maintain their literacy skills during summer vacation. There’s plenty to keep adults reading and engaged too!
For this year’s program, we’re going analog with BINGO-style reading logs that have 25 suggested activities – earn a prize for five-in-a-row in any direction! Keep reading after your first BINGO for additional chances to earn a free book (kids) and entry into a grand prize drawing (all).
Our Summer Reading Program Bingo Cards and Calendars went home with all Lyons Elementary and Middle/High School students. Additional copies for all ages are available in the library.
Don’t forget to check our events calendar regularly for all the great offerings we have planned and to register for events.
The program begins on May 27th and runs through August 4th. Come in to pick up your BINGO card or download it on the website and get started reading!
Each person gets one card. Bring in your card by August 5th, completing as many Bingo’s as you want on that one card, and get a $5 coffee card, and be entered in a grand prize contest.
