LYONS – School’s Out! Summer Kick Off Party – for all school-aged kiddos, and their parents, at Lyons Dairy Bar & Thor’s Pet Palace: 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Free! — Face paintings, sidewalk chalk art, fairy hair (fee$), coloring contest, balloons (fee$), reptile viewing, LCF beanie babies, and more!

PINEWOOD SPRINGS TWEENS & TEENS: IT’S THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! Join us at the ESTES Park library to celebrate! Come get a free book by signing up for the Summer Reading Program, enjoy some free pizza and snacks, make art and play Just Dance on our Wii. A Tween / Teen Summer Reading Program event. REGISTER==ok to just show up if you are reading this too late!

Our HIGH SCHOOL TRACK team got their usual send off on Friday 5/19 – with a parade through a few streets in town, lead by multiple police cars with flashing lights and siren, and lots of people on the sidewalks. Good luck! ====== LYONS LIONS BASEBALL & TRACK headed to STATE! Track athletes ran Friday & Saturday, Baseball took on Meeker Saturday at 10:00 AM. GO LIONS! ===== We have asked both coaches to submit scores, results, or an article.

High School graduates put on their robe and caps and did a parade around the school yard to meet and cheer on the Lyons Elementary School kids, on Monday, May 22nd. There were a lot of “high-5’s” …and a few hugs from siblings!

PTO — 5th grade families! Please help spread the word that there will be a family-hosted Graduation (aka Continuation) party at LVJ park after school on May 25th at 3pm! You can drop off snacks/drinks (we have a cooler) to the WPA shelter any time starting at 2pm. Sign up for snacks. Let’s celebrate these awesome kids as they make the big transition to middle school!

SCHOOL AWARD: Comments from Principal Chris Frank: “I want to give a big shout out to our very own Gemma Powell, who just today won a state championship in girls discus. Gemma absolutely crushed it at a pivotal moment and showcased what the pride of Lyons is all about.”
