All the details on sale of “resident only” Planet Bluegrass tickets & party at Spirit Hound
Lyons Residents get special pricing on tickets to the annual Rocky Fest and Folk Fest at Planet Bluegrass. In the past, they were sold during normal shop hours at The Stone Cup. But it has closed its doors, so Spirit Hound Distillers has become the destination for eager ticket buyers. Planet Bluegrass will sell the tickets in a separate “Tickets Only; Charge Cards Only” line. And, Spirit Hound will have multiple special activities going on that day, making it a fun celebration of the Taste of Summer Fun! Below are details of the SALES /and/ the SPECIAL EVENTS.
Spirit Hound Distillery Celebration
There will be a Bluegrass band performing that day. It will consist of Eric Thorin, Charlie Rose, Taylor Sims, and Ryan Drickey. These guys are allstars, and Spirit Hound is very excited to have them.
Ticket sales start April 1st Saturday at 3 p.m.; music starts at 4 p.m and will last until 7:00 p.m. The plan is to give those who are just interested in getting tickets time to get in and get out before the show.
The new drink they will have is a preview of summer – they’re calling it the Bluegrass sour. It has a homemade mint sweet and sour mix (fresh lemon and lime juice, simple syrup, and peppermint oil) and their newest release bourbon whiskey. They will also have classic gin mules, and whiskey pours– along with some of their main stay alcohol menu items inside.
Note, their parking lot is under construction, so they will be running a shuttle that will start at 2:00 p.m. It has stops in front of both the entrance of Bohn Park and the south side of town hall (south side). Wonder tours is the shuttle company. While there are about ten spots in front of the business, once it is full, they will have to turn people away. We prefer to save all on-site parking for those with mobility issues.
The food trucks will be LaRue Bayou and Magic Bus catering. Magic Bus is their in-house food truck currently, featuring many grilled sandwiches, wings and poppers. It will be there all day. LaRue Bayou will set up by 2:00 p.m. While they cannot guarantee what will be served that day, traditionally they serve French Cajun food specializing in Shrimp Po Boys, Oyster Po Boys, Crab Cakes, Gumbo, Chicken Tenders, French Fries, and Beignets.
And lastly, we are going to offer $1 off cocktails for anyone that brings in their Planet bluegrass cups from years past. We thought it would be a fun locals only thing. (any Eco Products or Klean Kanteen).
Ticket Sales
Saturday, April 1, 2023, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Sales Line: There will be three lines for ticket sales run by Planet Bluegrass. They will have their own credit card machines. Ticket sales start at 3 p.m.; and they will be there until 7:00 p.m. or until tickets sell out.
Requirements: Bring proof of residency. This is a residence within the 80540 zip code or the 80503 north of St. Vrain Road, and west of 7th Street. == One person can buy up to 4 tickets for each day when their 3-Day and single day passes are combined. == Credit or debit card only. NO CASH.
If there are tickets left, there will be four additional days to buy the tickets: the four following Fridays in April, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — go to Planet Bluegrass headquarters/office at 304 2nd Avenue, Lyons.
