Lucky Lyons race results

The burst of green on Saturday was a sign of spring — our first foot race of the year in Lyons. It took place in Bohn Park this year (instead of LaVern Johnson Park). The 10K and the 5K were open to all ages. The weather was great, sunny and around 50 degrees. Afterwards, finisher awards and mementos were given to the Racers. And, then everyone retreated to Main Stage Brewing, with racers getting a free beer.

The St. Patrick’s Day themed run had its net proceeds donated to Lyons Community Foundation. So racers not only earned a green beer or two, but helped the Lyons community! (Gemini Adventures coordinated the event). Congratulations to all the winners, and to those who participated!

Customized awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each race in each of the following age groups:
12 & Under
13-20 === 20-29 === 30-39 === 40-49 === 50-59 === 60+
Racers received customized dog tag finisher’s awards as they crossed the finish line.

The overall male as J. Rogers, coming in at 21.16 minutes; and the overall female was Eden Burtoft, coming in at 23.39 minutes.
