Support Doctors Without Borders === Sent emergency teams, helping with injured patients, donated emergency trauma/surgery kits to hospitals, sent ambulances, distributing hygiene kits and food, and more.
Donate to the International Medical Corps. ==== the charity is working to assess needs and has established a response team which will be supporting the national emergency response across the region. It has mobilized a response to the Turkey/Syria disaster, deploying mobile medical teams in Syria to provide emergency medical care to people in the region affected by the quake. The International Medical Corps is also working with local partners in Turkey to respond, and is in discussion with the World Health Organization regarding a potential deployment of its Emergency Medical Team.
Donate to Save the Children’s emergency fund === has provided independent and impartial relief and medical care to victims of war in Syria since 2012 – has put out an urgent call to the international community to release emergency funds to provide aid and rescue resources immediately. On the ground, Save the Children’s teams are planning to support affected communities with winterization and emergency kits, including blankets and winter clothing.
Donate to the UOSSM. Union of Medical Relief & Care === Humanity & Inclusion has launched an emergency response to support disabled people affected by the Turkey/Syria earthquake. In a statement, the UOSSM said its hospitals and medical facilities are overwhelmed and will need support to ensure lives are saved during this crisis.
UNICEF – USA – children The children of Turkey and Syria need food, water, sanitation, winter clothes, because most of them just fled their apartments in the middle of the night with nothing… and, need medical care. It’s very easy to get respiratory tract infections in this wintertime. They are rapidly assessing supply needs and redirecting supplies already in-country to fill immediate gaps. …They are identifying separated and unaccompanied children and working to reunite them with family.
UNICEF USA is one of 34 organizations, called national committees, around the world that secures crucial financial support and government funding for UNICEF. Together, the national committees, including UNICEF USA, raise approximately 30% of the operational budget of UNICEF. UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories to reach the most disadvantaged children and adolescents.
World Vision:
World Vision has been working in the Middle East region for nearly 40 years. Within the first week after the EARTHQUAKE crisis, World Vision had distributed 4,490 gallons of fuel to health facilities and search and rescue teams in northwest Syria, helping them continue operations and tend to the wounded. In addition, 1,605 displaced households in collective shelters across northwest Syria have been provided with heaters and fuel. Teams are preparing to provide multipurpose cash assistance in northwest Syria, as well as shelter kits and essential supplies in Turkey. ====
