Pinewood Springs Members of Troops 70455 and 77784

Photo courtesy of Amber Johnson: Those are my daughters, Abbie and Gracie, in the photo, and we all live in Pinewood. First CO Realty was kind enough to donate the use of their moving van to us for a weekend for the cookie pickups. That’s cookies for the Daisy 70449 and Brownie/Junior 77784 troops out of Estes Park, which are being stored in Pinewood.
Brownie/Junior troop 77784: the leaders are Amber Johnson (Gracelyn’s mother), Laura Reese and Meredith Ishida.
Daisy troop 70449, Cadettes: the leaders are Amanda Hoskins and Mary Kay Watry. Their Cookie Manager is Kim Betts.
==The Troop #70544 & 77784 are in Estes Park, and only Pinewood Springs member Abbie and Gracie will be selling the cookies at the Cherry Company
==The Juniors last year in #70455 were all new to scouting so they planned a more appropriate trip to Colorado Springs; whereas the Cadettes all had been Scouts for longer and went to Yellowstone.

Junior & Daisy Troop: The fun & educational trip where 2022 funds were spent:
Abigayl “Abbie” Johnson, and her Troop 70455, did a two-night cabin camping trip in Colorado Springs where they rode the Cog Railway to the top of Pikes Peak — and ate the donuts, explored the Cave of the Winds, rode horses thru the Garden of the Gods and found/sampled the Springs in Manitou Springs where we got caught in the rain. === Abbie was a Junior in 2022, and this year will be a Cadette. (In 2023, she will be in the same Troop as Autumn, see below)
Gracelyn “Gracie” Johnson, and her Troop 77784, did an overnight camping trip at Meadow Mountain Ranch in Allenspark; had a swimming party; rode horses at Aspen Lodge; and took a field trip to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science to learn about Space and visit the Planetarium.

AUTUMN SIEFFORD will be selling cookies from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on 2/18 and 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on 2/25 at the Colorado Cherry Company. (The Troop #70544 is in Estes Park, and only Pinewood Springs member Autumn will be selling the cookies at the Cherry Company) Or, order online: https://digitalcookie.girlscouts.org/scout/autumn204918 We can deliver to Pinewood folks.
Cadette’s: the fun & educational trip where 2022 funds were spent:
A trip to Yellowstone Park, Wyoming.
Christine Schwartz was the troop leader who took them on the trip; she said: Gosh, the girls did so much planning and deciding for that trip. They researched activities and made decisions on scheduling of events, chose paths that we did, and meal planned! The only thing that was out of their control, was the mosquitoes! (NOTE: Schwartz is now with the Senior/Ambassador troop.)
