by Rocklyn Grace (Author), Fares Kaze (Author) — Poetry Anthologies, Friendship

The result of conversations within the confines of tiny text boxes is here: a friendship built beyond the separations of nations, mountains, oceans, time zones, families, ages, cultures, and religions. Open the book. Turn the pages. Walk in the mountains and valleys with Rocklyn and Fares.
If you listen carefully, you’ll hear an eagle howl. If you watch closely, you’ll see a wolf soar.
Author Bio ==
Rocklyn Grace is the pen name for Lyons resident, Dr. Annyce Stone. The Stone family has enjoyed life here in Lyons for thirteen years. Rocklyn/Annyce loves the beauty and peace of her western, mountain home where life is wildly free. She also loves morning coffee, sunsets in the cool evenings, and the interruption of a moonbeam across the living room floor late at night. She’s raised two sons with her husband (both runners for Lyons a few years ago), and she and Thomas now substitute the boy-noise with rock music in the empty nest.
Fares Kaze lives in the beautiful mountains of Algeria, in the Kabyle region. There, he works as an artist and a little bit of a farmer. He loves morning coffee, rainy winter days, and the interruption of a kitty-friend darting across his garden. Fares looks forward to his own family someday; but until then, he fills his house with all kinds of music, including Scandinavian metal. Fares hopes to come to the United States to meet Annyce and his adopted family in person along with the many new friends he has waiting here.
Together, through the happenstance of meeting on social media, Rocklyn and Fares embarked upon a journey to learn more about each other’s distant worlds. Through many conversations in tiny text boxes, they created a friendship that crosses over many separations: nations, mountains, oceans, time zones, families, ages, cultures, and religions.
Open their book. Turn their pages. Walk in the mountains with Rocklyn and Fares. If you listen, you’ll hear an eagle howl. If you watch, you’ll see a wolf soar.

Picco and Wren Three by Catherine Ann Russell, Illustrated by Janell E. Robisch
Picture book for ages 0-7 and their parents
Wrens are born to sing! So, what do you do when you are a wren who can only squeak? Poor little Wren Three had this very problem. Though Mamma Wren and her other siblings, Wren One and Wren Two, loved her very much, Wren Three could not sing like they could. One day, Wren Three makes a new friend: Picco, the piccolo, and they soon share their talents with each other. Will Wren Three ever be able to sing? What could possibly turn Wren Three’s squeak into a song? Perhaps true friendship holds the key to success.
Get to Bed! by Catherine Ann Russell, Illustrated by Morgan Grace Quist Sooy
Picture book for ages 0-7 and their parents
One of the biggest challenges at the Bouncing Baby Farm is getting the animals to bed, especially on lovely summer evenings. Goats, ducks, and chickens simply do not cooperate. It takes so much time to say “goodnight” that an owl informs the owner that it will soon be dawning a new day. Regardless of critter shenanigans, all is well at the Bouncing Baby Farm. This delightful, fun poem will entertain kids and parents alike as a go-to bedtime story before they say, “Goodnight!”Get to Bed! is a children’s picture book for ages 0-7 and their parents.
