Holiday Artisan Market provided unique gifts and a place for neighbors to rub shoulders

This annual Holiday Artisan Market (formerly known as Christmas Bazaar) welcomed residents to chose from dozens of booths carrying locally-made art, crafts, and handmade items. It is traditionally held on the first weekend in December (along with the Annual Holiday Parade of Lights on Saturday night).

The Lyons Historical Society booth was missing its guiding spirit of LaVern Johnson (deceased May 2022), but Lyons Redstone Museum staff filled in, including son Jerry Johnson. We will shortly have an article about the booth and some of the friendships that formed, as well as who won the Silent Auction’s dollhouse.
