Five fire agencies, Boulder County, get $1.4 million grant

Lyons Fire Department communications person, Anne Reid, stated: “The five departments will use the grant funds to buy radios and self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Both of these tools are necessary for fire fighters safety. Our departments work together on bigger incidents and rely on this equipment. As for how the funds are divvied up, I will look to Chief Zick for that information. We are very excited about this opportunity.”
