There are three ways to buy tickets for Planet Bluegrass festivals:
1. Through the www.BlueGrass.com web page. Each festival has a link off of this page, and sells tickets separately. Each has a deadline when you can return them for a refund. (Most festivals sell out quickly)
2. Go to the Blue Grass page, and chose the festival, and then Join the www.Festivarian.com page membership (free), and buy tickets from other members at the normal price, with no markups and added fees.
3. Buy them at ticketing company See Tickets. By being a Festivarian member, you can call or email a Planet Bluegrass staff person to confirm that the ticket buyer is legit, and the ticket is real.
UPDATE 8/17/22, from Planet Bluegrass: In the future, if the ticket has a barcode on it, we don’t require an ID. This is usually for camping and vehicle passes, but for Folks Festival, we also had the festival tickets including barcodes.
Festivarian Message, Planet Bluegrass (June 2022):
We now use the ticketing company See Tickets. We are not affiliated with StubHub or VividSeats or any other secondary market ticketing company.
We can only confirm tickets being sold on the forum that are purchased straight from See Tickets.
You can always call the office or contact email@example.com, and we can review the individual’s email to see if they do in fact have tickets for our festivals associated with their email if you are purchasing from a Festivarian that is re-selling their extra tickets here on this forum.
We have no way of verifying tickets from other “ticket selling organizations” if you suspect they might not seem legit — especially when the receipt for their purchase says that they will receive the tickets the *day of* the event.
And all of these other ticketing companies are extremely over-priced — Don’t purchase these and they won’t be successful at selling them, and they’ll be less interested in scamming our festivals.
Checking if legit:
= Ask for some proof:
= For camping and vehicle passes, they can scratch out the barcode before sharing it to you.
= Our wristbands are a receipt
= We won’t honor a receipt without proof of ID at the Box Office (as long as their tickets reads that their wristbands are scheduled to be picked up at Will Call).
= The receipts have order numbers as well. We can confirm if these are legit or not through our system.
