Metronic and Can’d Aid Partner Throughout June to Support Colorado Youth
Can’d Aid is partnering with Metronic this month to support children in Colorado’s Boulder County and beyond. Throughout the month of June, Medtronic employees will be assembling 450 bikes, 400 skateboards, and 2,133 art kits to be donated to kids in Colorado.
Held annually in June, Medtronic’s Project 6 serves as a kick-off to year-round community impact through volunteering and giving where Medtronic employees live and work. This year Project 6 will be held from June 6 –July 31. New this year, it will be reintroducing in-person volunteering opportunities and expanding Project 6 participation to include financial gifts.
Several local organizations will help facilitate the donations throughout June, including:
Columbine Elementary School
Mapleton Early Childhood Center
Realities for Children
A Precious Child
Out Boulder County
WHEN: Donation Event at Munroe Elementary – Wednesday, June 22, 3-4 pm
WHERE: 3440 W Virginia Ave, Denver, CO 80219
WHY: Children on average get 7 hours of screen time per day and only 1 in 5 gets the daily recommended amount of exercise. At a time when our nation’s youth are experiencing extreme levels of anxiety, depression and mental health issues, Can’d Aid’s programs, which give children the tools they need to live healthy lives and foster creativity, combat these troubling statistics and serve underserved and at-risk children across the country.
