ABOUT TOWN 2\17\22 – – for the Lyons Recorder online
Another week gone by. It has been nice and warm so far, but Wednesday it snowed again. Winter is here, but not cold enough for ice skating. Too bad..it was so enjoyable, and Big Crowds.. However, we can’t control the weather. .
If it gets to freezing the last of this week, be sure your water is dripping, you have your heat up, your pipes don’t freeze, and leave the heat up after it gets warm as the heat pushes the cold down to the pipes.
Covid is still dangerous and very contagious. The new cases are down to 238 cases today, where it was 350 last week. 351 people have died in Boulder County, with 11,718 deaths in Colorado, 57,808 In the hospitals, 3,922,873 are fully vaccinated but people are still getting it, but not so bad. Boulder County, Although one of the worst counties, has lifted its Mask Mandate; saying we have to DEAL WITH IT! so get your vaccination; stay away from crowds, wear a mask where you are leery, and hope for the best.
Those who that have had COVID are still suffering after several weeks, so don’t catch it! So keep those masks on (even though they say you don’t need them) You have to avoid getting COVID. We hear from folks that have had it, and they are still having many problems..-seeing. headaches, stability, etc..it is a scary disease and you should avoid it, if possible We should all stay in, stay away from crowds, wear a masks, social distance, and wash hands; Encourage all you know to get vaccinated. It is the only hope! (However, people who have full vaccination are getting it, maybe not so bad, but they are sick.
