Lyons Elementary Parent Teacher Organization
We engage parents with Lyons Elementary School to foster strong collaboration with teachers and support for their students. In these socially-distant times, our focus shifted to creative alternatives to our traditional enrichment opportunities that bolster the remote learning environment.
The PTO has budgeted more than $17,000 for educational materials this school year, including $2500 each for music, art, P.E., and the library.
Lyons Valley PreSchool
Our program provides an opportunity for pre-schoolers age 2.5 – 6 to learn and grow through concrete experiences, art, music, nature and play. During these “magic years” children are supported to develop a love of learning through individual and group work while their social, cognitive needs and unique spirits are nurtured throughout each day. After the September 2013 floods in Colorado a group of parents in Lyons came together to start this new non-profit, Montessori-based preschool. Funded locally.
Colorado Gives Day gives us funds to build our Scholarship Fund.
