Contact these restaurants in Lyons for more information about music, and fun activities like, trivia, poker Wednesday, acoustic jam sessions, karaoke Friday, Open Mike, Art Fair, farm-to-table meals, trivia night …and, of course, LIVE MUSIC! and more being offered this summer — as they are able to hire more staff, more things will be added — The Stone Cup, Mojo Taqueria, Pizza Bar 66, A-Lodge Lyons (coming soon), Oskar Blues Bar and Grill (no music yet) and Main Stage Brewing.

Tuesday and Thursday – 12 noon – Boulder County Aging serves lunch at the Lyons Senior Center (Lyons seniors, ages 60 and up), located in the apartment complex next to the Post Office. You must call the day before by 1 p.m. to place an order (303) 441-1415. Donation of $3 suggested. (Guests pay $8.25) Either order a carry out box, or come in at 12 noon and socialize and meet other seniors! — cancelled on Holidays.
Wednesdays – 3 to 5 p.m. – Food Pantry for those in need. Contact LEAF for more information. (This may be closed the day before a major Holiday). ====IMPORTANT NOTE: THE LYONS FOOD PANTRY WILL BE CLOSED NOV 24, DEC 22 AND DEC 29. ==== MARK YOUR CALENDARS
SENIOR EXERCISE – 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., free, LaVern Johnson Park. Free. For Lyons seniors 55+ === Contact Lramsey@townoflyons.com for details. === class now meeting at the Walt Self basement entrance (on the alley side of the building) every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 – 11:30 am. If the weather’s nice we’ll grab our hand weights and head outside to exercise or we’ll do a walk before heading inside for stretching and yoga. Masks are required inside the building. — Cancelled on Holidays.

November 25 – THANKSGIVING! Everyone has something to be grateful for! — Be safe, with the rise of COVID again; wear masks when you can, and increase ventilation in your dining room.
November 25 – 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., The River Church will have a full Thanksgiving dinner available for anyone who wants one. Free, but donations are always welcome. (We have asked if there are deliveries or carry outs available for those who are home-bound, but have not received any answer this month, and assume there will not be.)
November 27 – Small Business Saturday – SHOP LOCAL! Support your local merchants and neighbors. (many will have SPECIALS!!!)
November 27 – Main Stage Brewing will have an artisan craft fair, with live music.
November 27 – 2 Saturdays – KNIT a Christmas Sock. Open to all adults. (by the Town of Lyons) $45 plus supplies.
November 30 – DEADLINE to fill out the Town Survey — write them your hopes and fears for Lyons over the next ten years = Take the survey today and share your areas for improvement
==DECEMBER==
December 2 – Dec. 2 to Feb. 14 — CONTEMP ARAPAHO ARTISTS: The Museum of Boulder is excited to host a group show of contemporary artwork by Arapaho artists–the first of its kind in the area. Be one of the first to see this exciting exhibit and have the chance to meet some of the artists and hear more about their artwork and process in an artist panel at 5:30.
Doors open at 5. Artist panel begins at 5:30. $10 FEE.
December 4 and 5, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. = LYONS Holiday Artisan Market – Lyons annual quality craft fair; this year it is juried; and, the tables are social distanced. See our ARTICLE for full details.
December 4, 6 p.m. – LYONS Holiday Lights Parade, with floats. This year it will not go down Broadway, but will go from Main Street to High Street. See our ARTICLE for full details. (The fireworks may be cancelled due to fire danger – https://lyonscolorado.com/holidayparade).
December 5, 1-4 p.m. – Boulder County LGBT – The 21st annual Lavender Gala will be held virtually again this year. Participants can expect to mix and mingle in a breakout group trivia competition from 2-3 p.m. and dance to music with DJ Susie Pringle, in between interactive games from 3-4 p.m. Prizes and giveaways throughout. December 6 – Board of Trustee meeting
December 6 –Hanukkah 2021: Sunday, November 28 to Monday, December 6.
December 7 – Colorado Gives Day – Donate to your favorite nonprofit! Many of them have opportunities to double or increase your donation.
December 9, 6:00pm – The library’s Teen Advisory Group (Grades 6-12) meets once a month after school. TAG members contribute to the development of the library’s Young Adult collection, help at library programs, and offer ideas for creating a comfortable, safe and fun atmosphere for teens at the library. Teens are able to earn volunteer hours for participation.

December 12 – CHRISTMAS PAGEANT – Lyons Community Church – Sunday service features children performing! Dec.5 — 3:00pm rehearsal, Dec. 12 —10:00am presentation. Open to all.
December 14 – PRAIRIE DOG MANAGEMENT: Boulder County Parks & Open Space will host its annual public meeting concerning prairie dog management on Bo Co Parks & Open Space properties from 5 to 6:30 p.m. — Staff will be available to discuss the variety of activities conducted in 2021 and how the department manages prairie dogs on open space properties, including agricultural lands. Public comment is invited. For a full agenda, and to see the three categories of the “Plan.”
