How Lyons medical/wellness clinics have changed since the flood
The week after the Great Flood of 2013, The Lyons Recorder published a list of business news, mainly those offering health and wellness help. Below is the advertisement.
Since then, Lyons has lost its Family Medicine Clinic. There is no family general medical practitioner in Lyons.
And, it lost its Lyons Pharmacy. Now residents have to go to another city to get their prescriptions filled.
Dr. Meckle, listed below, lived and practiced medicine out of his house in the Confluence area. His house was badly damaged by the Flood, and it took a few years for him to re-open his practice in his new home office.
