Drop-off Event September 18th and 19th
Residential Use ONLY
The Town of Lyons, Boulder County, and Wildfire Task Force are hosting a Fire Mitigation and Fuels Reduction Event on September 18th and 19th. This drop-off service is for residents with properties located within the Lyons Fire Protection District boundaries, and is not for any commercial thinning operations. Homeowners are invited to drop off tree limbs, logs and slash to reduce sources of fuel on their personal property. There is no diameter limit for logs or branches. Commercial drop off will NOT be accepted.
The following materials Will NOT be accepted: organic yard waste, tree stumps, pine needles, pine cones, rocks, soil, flood debris, construction materials, dimensional or treated lumber or trash. Loads containing this type of material will be turned away. Volunteers from Lyons Fire Protection and other service organizations will ensure materials meet the requirements. The event is self-service – you will unload your own vehicle/truck.

NO general compost accepted (NO yard waste, grass, pine needles, pine cones, tree stumps, flood debris, dirt, rocks, construction materials, lumber or trash)

Self-service unload (you unload your vehicle)
No commercial drop-off accepted.

Those homes in other Fire Districts, like Pinewood or Allenspark, do not qualify.
