LEAF thanks volunteers at picnic
Lyons Emergency & Assistance Fund (LEAF) held its Volunteer Appreciation Picnic in July at Bohn Park. The large shelter was filled to capacity with passionate LEAF volunteers. LEAF provided an enjoyable picnic spread, and the volunteers relished the opportunity to connect in person again. All volunteers received “I’m A LEAF Lover” t-shirts.
Over 100 community members volunteer regularly at LEAF. The organization honored Lyons High School student and Food Pantry volunteer Cassidy Batts, Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels volunteer Cindy Grundmeier, Lyons Volunteers leader Rick DiSalvo, and Meals on Wheels and Lyons Volunteers volunteer Mark Browning as its Volunteers of the Year.
