The Boulder County Fair, August 6 – 15, 2021, will be a youth Exhibitor-only fair for 2021, supporting our 4-H and FFA Youth Exhibitors. The focus this year will be on supporting our youth programming, our agricultural heritage and tradition, and showcasing the outstanding work of 4-H and FFA youth. Watch the web page for stories and photos of youth exhibitors and their livestock and general projects as they prepare for exhibition. The office is closed to the general public, although we are checking email and voice messages regularly. They anticipate a return to a full fair in 2022.
Events include horses, dairy, chickens, rabbits, goas, cattle, sheep, poultry, swine, — and 4-H General Projects and Creative Living Projects.
The coronavirus pandemic limited events to 10 people and some exhibits went all virtual in 2020. Even parents were not allowed to be in the audience. This year friends and relatives are welcome to come and support their youth exhibitor.
There will be no carnival, food vendors or shows.
4-H is not just for “farm kids,” but can include crafts like photography and cake decorating. A young participate said, “Youth who participate in the shows overcome challenges, finding their voice and confidence along the way.”
The fair grounds are located at 9595 NELSON ROAD, LONGMONT CO 80501
