All you need to know about Lyons first Garden Tour 6/19/21
Lyons Garden Club ”Mountain Blooms” garden tour is Saturday, June 19 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Come stroll through some of the prettiest, most unique gardens in the Lyons area.
REGISTRATION:
You can register online until the end of day, Friday, June 18. The event is free, but donations are gladly accepted. Funds go toward the expenses of the Lyons Garden Club. Go to www.lyonsgardenclub.com for the link to registration site.
The day of the event, in-person registration will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Bears Garden (across from Stone Cup, at the intersection of Highway 36 and High Street). Cash donations welcome but not required. There will be no charge cards or online ways to donate money.
HOME GARDENS:
The gardens range from Stone Canyon to Apple Valley, so driving or biking is the best way to visit the gardens.
We have a variety of gorgeous gardens which include a butterfly prairie garden, vegetable gardens, pond gardens, perennial gardens, Apple Valley farms, a mountain retreat with a treehouse on the property, a Zen garden. The Rocky Mountain Botanic Garden, with an amazing display of native Colorado plants, is also a participant.
Tour is self-guided.
The Garden hosts and a garden club volunteer will be at each site to guide visitors and answer questions.
MAPS:
Self-guided maps. Those who register on-line will be sent a map to print off at home. In-person registrants will receive a map and Garden descriptions. The map serves as the ticket to present at each site.
PRIZES:
We have more than 100 people already registered. Registered participants will be eligible for the drawing where 32 fabulous prizes will be awarded. Winners will be notified by text or email and do not need to be present to win.
