“This is a great Nation. We are a Great People. There’s much to repair. Much to restore. Much to heal. Much to gain.”
First act as President =”Join me in a moment of silent prayer. Remember all those who we lost this past year to the pandemic, those 400,000 fellow Americans – moms, dads, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, friends, neighbors and co-workers. We’ll honor them by becoming the people and the nation we know we can and should be. So I ask you, let’s say a silent prayer for those who’ve lost their lives and those left behind and for our country.”
“We will be judged by how we will face these times.”
“Take a measure of me and my heart.”
“I will be a president for all Americans. I will fight as hard for those who did not support me as those who did.”
“With unity we can do great things.”
“We must end this un-civil war.”
“We will lead not by our power, but the power of our example.”
“There are some days when we need a hand. There are other days when we’re called on to lend one.
That is how we must be with one another. And, if we are this way, our country will be stronger, more prosperous, more ready for the future.”
“We need each other.” ~ “Set aside politics.” ~ “See ourselves as one Nation.” ~ “We will get through this together.”

PRESIDENT BIDEN ROLLED UP HIS SLEEVES AND HAS IMMEDIATELY BEGUN THE WORK OF THE PRESIDENCY:
At the end of the day, soon after arriving at the White House, President Biden went straight to work and signed 17 Executive Orders addressing a wide range of topics. This included providing a COVID-19 relief Plan, including enforcing a mask mandate for federal facilities, freezing student loan payments and interest, canceling the Keystone Pipeline (and directions to review other environmental orders), rescinding the 1776 commission, lifting the Muslim flight ban restrictions for passport holders, halting the funding of the border wall, beginning the process of rejoining the Paris Climate Accord and halting the United States’ departure from the World Health Organization, and many more. These Orders were reviewed in previous days to make sure that Biden had the authority to sign them.
The next week, he will focus on “Buy American” government purchases of goods and services from US companies; a push to eliminate private prisons; meeting with a President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology and combating climate change; health care; and immigration. February will focus on “restoring America’s place in the world.”
