Yestertomorrow a/k/a Pause Not Tilt part II (poem)

Yestertomorrow morphs groundhog-day-ish into a surreal, too peaceful alternate universe while bizzaro world unsettling jumpiness lurks and skulks in the mind’s eye.
jumpiness pent up from 10 months of sanity testing sequestering exploding in a cocktail of centuries old wrong. Masked identity weirdness lends the eeriness to the edginess
…. yestertomorrow a sci-fi norm of the current day
rattling to the bone of what darkness and intolerance does to mass fissure the global view of kindness, compassion.
Mob mentality scarily erupts in manifestations unpredictable, progressive, subversive.
Personal space
works much better for me
than
social distancing
no more hugging goodbye, shaking hands, high fives…
instead,
elbow bumps and air hugs…. makes me sad.
However, I have had lots of time to ruminate …. led me to realize….
You cannot ruminate without RUMI
made my day!
Work from home (WFH) becomes some form of the norm of the now, tech testing the bandwidth limits of a new carbon footprint reducing non-commuting parental juggling employee
Shifting paradigms of life / work balance
hanging on in a strung along economy
Silver linings to the sanitized spray, veiled, gelled, isolated germaphobia induced existence:
Health sensitive, family centric, growing love, compassion, appreciation
buy local, shop local, take out local – downsized living
You do you and I’ll do me
dance, laugh, be happy, be free
Sliding yesterday into today into tomorrow into yesterday into
Yestertomorrow
