The St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation provides resources and educational opportunities, in partnership with St. Vrain Valley Schools and our local communities, to enhance student success and teacher excellence. Their annual Gala is an educational and noteworthy event. Participants get to hear from local school officials and the Teacher of the Year about the schools’ progress. The event is free, but registrants do not have to attend the program to make a donation and/or purchase item(s) from their Silent Auction.

The Gala will be held on Saturday, November 14th at 6:00 p.m. Due to the current pandemic guidelines, it is transitioning the in-person event to be an all-VIRTUAL LIVE event.

Schedule of events: stream live on the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation’s YouTube channel and on the local Longmont Comcast channel

  • will highlight the work the Education Foundation completes to fulfill our mission of Student Success and Teacher Excellence in St. Vrain Valley Schools.
  • will feature a performance of Truly Brave by 40 students from St. Vrain Valley Schools
  • messages from Executive Director Josh Atherton and Superintendent Don Haddad, Ed.D.
  • highlight our 2020 Teacher of the Year Janette Rivera Gonzales from Northridge Elementary School
  • a performance from Face Vocal Band.

Josh Atherton, Executive Director of the Education Foundation states, “This event is our opportunity to celebrate the incredible work our
foundation does on behalf of our St. Vrain Valley students, teachers, and staff. With limitations on meeting in person, we thought it was a perfect opportunity to bring our annual gala to the entire community!”

Viewers are invited and encouraged to pre-register (free) for our St. Vrain Valley Virtual Gala by going to our website. Registration will give individuals access to the over 100 auction items including over 40 unique school themed baskets provided by schools in St. Vrain Valley. Individuals can also directly donate to the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation.

VRAIN VALLEY SCHOOLS EDUCATION FOUNDATION – St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation, an independent 501 (c)(3) organization, was founded in 1985 by philanthropist Eleanor Flanders and a group of citizens to find a way to generate community and business support for St. Vrain Valley Schools programs.
