Requests for absentee ballots due Tuesday, April 28

The Lyons Fire Protection District has five candidates running for three seats on the Board of Directors this year. Voters can choose to vote in person for the May 5 election or can obtain an absentee ballot if voting in person is something you can’t or don’t want to do.


The absentee ballots may be downloaded from: https://www.lyonsfire.org/2020-special-district-election/absentee-ballot-request_lyons-fpd/


However, the absentee ballots must be requested by 5 pm on April 28. In person voting will be at the Firehouse, 251 Broadway, Lyons from 7 am to 7 pm. The District covers some of Boulder and Larimer Counties as well as the town of Lyons..


Candidates for a three year term are:
Joseph William Sassani and Keith Spencer.
The candidates for two year terms are Chris Fuhrmann, Michael Priess and Rich Palestro.

    Who was elected? What are their goals and mission for their term? So many of us in the Lyons Fire Protection District don’t know who the board members are or what they do.
